Opening up!

What a year it has been.

I could go on about the things we have gone through both together as a planet and more separately than ever before but we all know where we have been: doing our best to try and survive physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Here we are, seeing a light at the end of the tunnel…

I have been in school this whole time. Actually I have been in school now for about 10 years and I am almost finished.

Well, maybe…

It all began when I decided to go back to school in my 30’s to become an herbalist and acupuncturist. Though I was drawn to this medicine by the herbs, I decided to learn acupuncture first so that I could start a practice. I worked incredibly hard and received my Master’s Degree in acupuncture from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2016.

Of course life’s little plans are ever a-changin’ so instead of starting a business and going right back for Chinese herbal medicine, I took a break, and then moved across the country from Denver, Colorado to Asheville, North Carolina.

I have spent the last two years learning Chinese Herbal Medicine in an accelerated program at the Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts here in Asheville and planned to practice acupuncture while in school.

I had a sweet little space to practice in and was just starting to get some lovely people coming in to see me when a global pandemic happened. The yoga studio that I was renting space from put everything on pause and unfortunately after a few months they had to close permanently.

Without an office I couldn’t wrap my head around how I was going to practice and still keep everyone safe. Thankfully because of my part-time job I was able to collect some unemployment and a little financial aid to get me through the darkest time. Like many, I had planned to be much further along by now before everything was turned upside down.

So now what?

I am happy to say that I received my second vaccination shot on April 9th and will begin seeing patients again in the last week of April, a full two weeks after that shot! CDC guidelines will be followed!

I do not have an office yet so for the time being I will be making house calls on Thursdays and Fridays. I am so excited to see everyone I’ve been missing and can’t wait to meet some new amazing humans!

I have updated my services page so please check it out! If you have questions or would like to make an appointment, please call or text me at 828-571-0155 and we can talk about all the glorious possibilities!

I look forward to hearing from you! 💟☯️☮️
